About Mounir:

Mounir Fatmi constructs visual spaces and linguistic games that aim to free the viewer from their preconceptions of politics and religion, and allows them to contemplate these and other subjects in new ways. His videos, installations, drawings, paintings and sculptures bring to light our doubts, fears and desires. They directly address the current events of our world, and serve to both clarify the origins and symptoms of global issues, as well as speak to those whose lives are affected by specific events.

Mounir Fatmi’s work has been exhibited in the Migros Museum für Gegenwarskunst, Zürich, Switzerland, the Museum Kunst Palast, Düsseldorf, Germany, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, France, and the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo Japan.

Scott Musgrove

1 Geg

Scott Musgrove unearths previously undiscovered animals through a dedicated and scientifically un-approved practice of zoological impressionism. A lonestar in the field, he ventures where the gray-maned, khaki-clad, anthropologists with ivory walking sticks have not tunneling beneath freeways and ditch-combing along the rough borders of American mini-malls, in search of undiscovered and, up to this point, at least, extinct animals. Scott’s unorthodoxed research methods combined with his unmatched facility with paint and color result in a fascinating survey of what might have been in North America, if not for the invasion of pernicious settlers. Scott restores these beasts to life in his studio, stretching and stapling carpet scraps across ribs and skulls. With the help of a glue gun, a needle and thread, Scott sews and sculpts until the Harry Brook Trout or the Dwarf Basket Horse is finally staring back at him.

Patiko: Šis menininkas labai sukuria savotišką viziją savo darbuose ir man jo darbai tuo ir patinka. Tačiau gaila, kad jaučiu tam tikrą niūrumą jo dabuose.

Tobias Keene

About Tobias:

Tobias Keene’s paintings continue to explore, through the immediacy of color, texture and form, a quality of lost innocence. By using negative space as part of his composition, he has created a unique exploration of displacement. His use of long shadows signify the passage of time, while using Russian linen which he often leaves raw.

The images of children at play. dogs chasing balls, a man on a trapeze are somewhat metaphorical. As he states “We are all old dogs chasing balls”. Keene has exhibited at the Earl McGrath Gallery Los Angeles and New York since 2003 as well as Christies, Chait Gallery and the Bergamot Station. Tobias was born in Stratford Upon Avon , England but currently lives and works in Los Angeles

Man jis patiko: Man patinka jo darbai, nes jie savotiškai netikrai tikri. Jie mane išmuša iš pusiausvyros, tačiau juose nėra nieko tokia, kas turėtų tave šokiruoti…
